ANOTHER DAY ON THE PLAINS

Enjoyed your write up of "A Day in the Life of...". Perhaps there's something in the air...I just left water running also, in the barn a few days ago and filled a stall. Like you, noticed the low pressure from the kitchen tap and recalled leaving the hose run. Sigh. However, did not have to contend with your winds or temps or go "swimming". Just took a bucket and did some bailing. Having livestock and property has its challenges.

Glad you were able to end up on the couch and cling to the cocoa. :)

problems?
what problems.?
no wind today so i just trotted out there n did a temporary fix.
the float rod had broken in the high wind, so i just jammed a rock
under the arm so it couldn't drop n run water.
there's a shut off somewhere but there's 6'' of seaweed covering the bottom n i didn't wanna mess around.
took 2 minutes.
the truth is, yesterday's drama was caused by my inability to think in high wind.
when the wind enters one ear n comes out the other, my brains go with it.
i rewarded myself by making some northern corn bread, which is so sweet it's a dessert.
yum.
