Question for the experts to help clear up my dumb ***** confusion. The other day when I popped into my LGS, I saw a 4" 29-2 . Since I was in a hurry so couldn't get the serial number complete. I'm going back later today and double check. I did get the first couple of numbers and not positive if there were 5 or 6 after the N.
5 digits = N81xxx estimate around early 1970's
6 digits = N81xxxx estimate around late 1979 - 1980
Does this sound about right?
