Today I received a S&W K frame hammer without the hammer nose & pin, or any other parts to the hammer, which are two others and pins. Where may I purchase these parts? I looked at Gun Parts and Brownells and the only part I can find is the hammer nose pin. The hammer I got is new, just without the parts that go with it.

Kevin, I see that you are a long time member here and a vet. Tell me what model of gun your hammer is for and I will be glad to send you the parts you need. I need to know the model and - number because hammer noses change some.. Bob

CALREB, I sent you a private message. The revolver is a 10-7 round butt, non-pinned barrel. The hammer is a .375 version, never been on a revolver, like new.
won't the double action sear need to be fitted to the trigger?

walter o, I don't know the specific gunsmithing for the change, but have had a couple others done in the same fashion. I do know that the sear part will wear from use, had a hammer one time that was too worn to use, but for the most part, no problems. For this hammer, it is new and also came with a new trigger.

I have a 66-2 that has a hammer nose that doesn’t have a spring. All my other K frames are newer and have the spring. Can I put a hammer nose with spring in a hammer that had one without a spring?
