Another Flashlight Thread

I would be embarrassed to say how many “points” are on my Olight account. Flashlights, weapon lights, lanterns, you name it, I have it.

And when it comes to camping with a few buddies (having beverages of course) and someone says “you gotta see my new light”, I bring this out. The new Marauder 2 with 14,000 lumens - it’ll literally light up the entire forest!

This is my back yard at about 10:00 pm last weekend (the trees are 60 yards away) ….

And with some buddies at camp a few weeks ago ……

Streamlight Pro-Tac 2-AA are outstanding lights.
Not terribly expensive either ( approximately &70 or so.

After buying my first one I was so impressed I bought 4 more for my wife and I, and have given ( not “ gifted “, I hate that word ) several away as Christmas presents to family members.

Have you ever tried mounting that model?
I have a Protac 2lx for around the home/property and it works great. I know it is just under an inch in diameter, wasnt sure if a 1” ring would clamp down enough on it. Just curious if one pocket flashlight can double in a pinch on a rifle

I bought a bunch of flashlights a couple of years ago on a website called Gearbest.com, they have a ton of all kinds of oddball flashlights along with a huge assortment of items identical to known branded items that are way cheaper. Slowwwww shipping, but everything shows up, eventually. I've had this one in my pocket for about 5 years, lots of black gone, but it works great. One AA runs it a long time, and it's painful to look at. It was like $3 with free shipping. None of the cheapo flashlights I've bought there have had any issues. Cree made the LED in it, it's not the brand name.

We have a significant number of SureFire 2 and 3 cell lights. Most of the three cells are for rifles; the 2 cells are utility lights. I carry one all the time, even in dress clothes. We keep one 3 cell by the back door to see what the dogs are up to when we let them out at night.

I'm not flashlight zealot, but like to have one in my house and one in my car. I carry one on my person only when hunting. The one in my car recently quit after eight or ten years. What's a good quality small to very small bright flashlight? Rechargeable or battery best? I don't mind spending money on a good light.

I have a single aaa cell streamlight that’s always in my pocket hooked to the house key. I’m amazed at how long a single aaa lasts since I use it all the time and how bright that little thing is.

I've got 5 surefires I found in a drawer where I left them about 15 years ago. I'm in the process of getting them going and replacing the bulbs with leds. Surefire provided some parts for free for 2 of them. I've got an E2e Executive and an A2 Aviator that I'm gonna try to sell to finance repairs on the other ones.
I've got some cheapo China built 1AA flashlights that you need to twist the tailcap to eliminate corrosion to make them work good. I used to have a liquid that promoted conductivity on electronics but but it's long gone and I can't find info on it.

I love me a good flashlight. I've been impressed with this little Nebo Mycro. Keychain size, rechargeable, and throws of a decent amount of light.

Just a dab of dielectric grease works wonders.

I carry a Fenix E12 (single AA battery) at all times, day or night. It's always with me and my only flashlight. It's compact, plenty bright with 3 settings. One AA battery lasts a few months usually. It stands up very well to daily use and doesn't get in the way in my pocket.

I managed to scrounge up a few that I have laying around. I always keep a couple of lights in my truck and on my person when I'm out in the woods.
