Damn; Another WW2 hero gone. I've know a lot of them & listened to their stories. Most are gone now but their stories remain within my memory. Probably should write a book like Charlie.

I read the article on Mr Smith last night. It's sad, Mr. Smith should have experienced the outpouring of support given our WWII veterans at these flights. They are treated and celebrated as heros every step of the way. It would have been a fitting tribute to his sacrifices and his service to our country.

A sobering fact; most school-aged children today do not have any direct connection to WWII. Their grandparents and great aunts and uncles have all past. All that remains for them is what has been written and stories once removed.

Also, Honor Flights are now accepting our American heros who served in Korea. If you know a Korean vet, please get them signed up for a future Honor Flight.
