That Lost Creek show was great! Another J-frame, I'm a little confused with the Serial number. Any help would be appreciated.

36 no dash
2" Barrel
3 screw
Target trigger
Walnut grips
Ser # 1J26XX

Thanks in advance!
BD:)

Well there you go.

Interesting! Thanks for the info! That timeframe would account for it's exceptional condition. :)

Bill Diego, I noticed in both this thread and your post regarding your I-frame .32 that in your description you listed "target trigger" for each gun. If I am incorrect, I hope someone will point it out, but I do not believe a target trigger was available for either the I-frame or J-frame snubs. Early versions had a .240" serrated trigger, later a .312" smooth combat trigger.

There is a factory .400" target trigger and .335" smooth combat trigger for I and J frames. These were options before the .312" smooth became the standard and only trigger in 1986.

There's also a .375" center fire factory target hammer made for them that looks just like the Model 34 I and J frame standard rimfire target hammer.

But I would expect to see a target trigger ONLY on a gun equipped with target sights and sold as a target version. I would not expect to see a target trigger on a fixed sight snubnose.

Is my expectation correct?

They never even came on I and J frame target guns as standard, only as an extra cost option special ordered on any I or J frame, or ordered from parts dept.

All the target triggers on my I and J frames were installed by me. The 30-1 above was not a target gun, I added the sights also.
