Seventy years old and recently (sort of) retired farmer from western Kentucky. Long time owner of handguns, eight are Smith & Wessons of various calibers, six are revolvers.

Favorite: Model 617 6 in. 6 shot It lives in my pickup console.

Newest: M & P Shield 9mm This little gun opens a totally new world for me. RSA and magazine springs are tough for this 225 lb. weakling. Let's just say the trigger is nothing like the target triggers on my revolvers. All issues are improving and I can consistently hit a soft drink can at 50 ft.

I have enjoyed reading various threads while deciding on a CCW. Thanks for some great information!

From one old guy to another... Welcome from Massachusetts! :)

You can hit a Coke can at 50 feet? If you can, I wouldn't worry toooo.. much about the trigger pull or marksmanship.
A lot of men couldn't hit a can at 10 feet.
