Gutpile Charlie
US Veteran
Most people on this forum are multi faceted, and the old Gutpile, among other things is a musician.
Last night I had the pleasure of performing with the choral group that I sing with and the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra and a tribute concert of Beatles music.
The Beatles band was "Jeans N Classics" from London, Ontario, Canada.
This is a photo taken last night during the encore after the guitar players, piano player and drummer had left the stage. The old Gutpile is the head under red arrow on the back row of the choral group.
I have done nearly everything musical, symphony orchestra, pop and classical choral performances, musical comedy, opera, and even jazz piano, however, I have never done anything even remotely related to rock and roll. In fact, back in 1974 I even conducted the fore runner of this orchestra for a number of concerts.
We just had two, fast read through s prior to this performance and I was absolutely delighted with the music. As backup singers, we were pretty much relegated to "ooohs" and "aaahs", but it was just just a lot of fun. The Beatles ballads we did were absolutely magnificent.
I just had to share this.

Just found this photo this morning. This shows the old Gutpile a little better. Just thought I'd add it to the post.
