Another super serious Shield problem! Must read!

Ok, I've had my Shield for almost 2 weeks now. It shoots fine... But....

With all the out of battery problems, and other issues being reported. I shot it again... I discovered a serious problem with the gun and wanted to warn everyone...

Beware! When standing on the shooting range this morning, I discovered something horrible...

If I close both or my eyes while holding the Shield in a shooting position, I cannot see the target. However, if I grab one of my Beretta 92s and just barely peak at the target with one eye, then I can see enough of the target to fire the gun with accuracy.

BUT, when I hold the Shield again and close both eyes completely, I just can't see a darn thing.

I will attempt to make a you tube video of this as soon as I can, because I find it to be a serious flaw with this gun. I've also contacted S&W directly. They have issued a call tag for my weapon, and it's being sent off today with overnight shipping. They are extremely panicked and they want to have the gun in their hands as soon as possible.

I don't want to take any chances, so I've decided to let the professionals take a look at the gun to see if this can be replicated at S&W headquarters!.

I will be posting this warning on EVERY gun forum I am a member of, in order to get the word out to everyone. Owners of Kahr firearms who inexplicably hate the new Shield will also receive a certified copy of my warning through registered mail sent through the US Postal Service! I don't want to miss anyone.

I am just SO, SO glad I discovered this flaw in the Shield before I needed to use my weapon in a self defense situation.

You have been warned!

This is the funniest thing I have read all night!

Please, English is not my first language. Can you explain it again, but this time type slower?

Thank you so much.

Did you drive to the shooting range with your eyes closed? Heck, maybe you weren't even at the range. You could have been at a golf course. I hope you didn't shoot the blind golfers.

Everyone has just now figured this out? This was implemented by all gun manufactures recently after seeing how well it works in our Government! Close your eyes and carry on. It's our new national motto proposed by our Chief. It goes well w/ bowing down apologizing when you're not wrong for being American. :D

Wow... At 1st, I thought someone reposted this.
Turns out it's simply a Zombie Thread.

Whew!! I couldn't go through this problem two Years in a row! :D

I definitely believe something is flawed & not necessarily the pistol.

Now I'd like you to repeat the test only this time use two different types of cars going 70 mph on a busy freeway.

haha, it is alive again, good to see that good humor is timeless. Andd for what it is worth, when the wife closes her eyes at the range, she still usually hits center mass somewhere, lol

One of the guys at the range had the recoil spring assembly fly apart and the springs hit him in the eyes causing this very same problem! I thought it was a fluke. Anyone want to buy a couple of Shield 9s cheap?

Thanks Shipwreck, I get caught-up in all the "what is wrong with the Shield". I love both of mine!

I'm dying here from the laughter. I had just this second placed an order for a new Shield in 9mm, even though I already have a perfectly serviceable Kahr P9 Covert. From reading the title only, I thought I had made some sort of horrendous mistake. You had me going there for a bit.

But seriously, when my favorite retailer got in some LE discount Shields with no manual safety at $309 including shipping, I bit. I think it is going to be pretty hard to get hurt at that price, even if I do have to get past the flaw in the gun by opening one eye to see the target!

I'm really looking forward to getting my new Shield to see what all the fuss is about.
