For those who have never been to the Metropolitan Museum in NYC, I thought I'd share just a couple S&W revolvers that were on display when I visited last month. What beauties! Enjoy.

You're probably correct about that Colt. I forgot which one went with the description posted. It certainly LOOKS like a Colt!
I first saw that collection in 1977. I'm sure much has changed but that Smith&Wesson was definitely on display way back then.

Yes, the second revolver is a Colt, an 1851 Navy Model, .36 caliber.
