Any 3" N frame lovers out there?

Sure, I have this 3" 629-5

I'm wanting a 44 mag and I'm leaning real heavily towards a 3" model.

What hurts looking at these great guns is I owned a 629, 624, and a 657 in the 80s when people thought you were crazy for wanting a big bore 3". I loved shooting them, but due to tough times had to sell them for penny's on the dollar and now I cant touch a good one anything less than $1500 a piece. Would like to find a 625 in 45 colt in a 3", but I have been told that I would need the luck of winning the lottery and the cash of the lottery to get one.

Love them!! I have two: LH 629 3" and 657 3". I ccw both regularly. Don't have pics with me, but have posted them many times in the past. Wish all the 3" N frames had the cool tapered barrel like the 24/624.

How is recoil and muzzle blast compared to a 4" Model 29? I would love to have a 3", currently I have a 4" and 8 3/8".
Considered cutting the long barrel to 3" but was strongly advised against it as it would devalue the gun too much, it's the Hunter version complete with the scope rings.
I think a 3" in a chest holster would make a perfect packing piece for the mountains, trails and anywhere in between.

Very nice pair!! Those fixed sighted 629's are from a small Camfour order and I have seen them fetch with boxes $2,000!!
Great snag, Sebago Son!!

I bought these NIB in 1999. They were the last new S&W's I purchased. They layed in Camfour's inventory for about a year. S&W was supposed to
make 1,000 of them, but they were such poor sellers that Camfour cancelled after the first 300 units.

How does one verify if a 3" M29 is a Lew Horton? Mine is SN ALBxxxx. It came with original RB combats and currently wears Sile boot grips. Kicks like hell with full power loads...
