Any .357 lever gun guys out there?

I had the poor timing to order a Marlin just as the bankruptcy and transition occurred. Still not in my hands 15 months later. Looking forward to it.

My 18" Uberti 1873 replica loves .38.Spec. Penn 158 gr. lead RNFP, Accurate No. 5, 5.9gr; COAL = 1.455-1.460
Stock buckhorn/bead sights 100 yd zero gives:
Range Muzzle 25 50 75 100 125
Trajectory -0.7" 2.7" 4" 3.2" 0" -5.5"

I worked up .38 instead of .357 because I have lots more .38 spec brass.
No leading, no feed problems, no recoil, chrono avg 1088 fps.
Kinda like a .22 on steroids.

so, is this dangerous or just too much internet
As long as the bullet isn't pushed deeper into the case your fine. Shooting any rounds were bullets are pushed in raises the chamber pressure. I'm shootings a 16in Rossi 92 with 158gr jhp with xx grains of H110(I can't remember that's why I write it down). Its a blast to shoot it may go hunting this year.

I stumbled across a first year (1979) Marlin 1894 .357 carbine about 30 years ago. At the time I was shooting a police trade in S&W model 66-1, a lot. Reloading my own ammo helped a bunch of course, but after getting a .357 carbine, it was a necessity! They are so much fun at the range, and as a woods walking carbine.

I took a 125 lb doe with it the second year I owned it. I have bought a few others over the year for friends and family, but still own the '79 Marlin. I think I bought my first Marlin (30-30) about 1983, but the .357 is an absolute favorite. I feeds 38's or .357s equally fine. It's not going anywhere until I'm gone. :D

I'm a little worried about the rounds that are bullet to primer loaded in the magazine tube...that's about it...I can see pointed being dangerous, just not sure about SWC or the smaller flat points...The Aguilla are slightly more pointed than the Am. eagles......Probably obvious this is my first lever gun, trying to be safe!.....cant wait to shoot it
