Any .357 lever gun guys out there?

I have a Henry 38spl 357 carbine I shoot both round through it. I use 125 g thru 158 bullets, lead and plated, jacketed. I cramp the bullets in the case to prevent set back. my going to round is 125 g case bullet over aa#5

I shoot 125gr RNFP coated lead with 3.5gr of Red Dot for SASS cowboy action shooting in my .357MAG Browning B-92. No problems and a fun cartridge for that game.

I was shooting that exact load with a 158gr RNFP in .38 spl brass yesterday...great mild load, lots of fun to shoot..shooting at 90yd. gong, seems like you can rack the lever about the same time the bullet hits home!

I went out this morning before it got too hot with my 94 Win. Had a few rounds of 357 mag 125 gr loads in her. I actually got a chance at a Prairie Dog up in the dry ground. Only about 40 yds...but it did the job(a bit messy). I was offered a Browning 92 44 mag yesterday when I went to Cody. Unfired too. But 700 bucks? Did they ever make the 92 in 357? I would have probably bought it if any other caliber.

Well the lady that owns it said she never fired it. Tell me about vintages on the 92 Browning. I do know the year is quite often in the serial. When I looked at it it does seem to be unfired. Not even a scratch on the loading gate. I really don't follow lever guns all that much even though I have 6 or 8

kinda late here, but $700 is a steal IMHO in the condition you state.. the year is in the serial..look on net, browing mfg dates or Citori dates ect....IIRC PV= '85 something like that....bet that's a nice rifle!

I went and bought the Browning 92. It truly doesn't look to have been fired. In really newish condition. The only real scratch on the gun is right at the top of the stock near the butt plate extension. I'll look at the serial later this evening and try to date it. no safety on this one and no it is not drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. I do like them so may have it done if I can find a sight to fit. I will take some pics and post them:D This will be a shooter.

Sounds like a nice rifle. I was looking for a 357 lever and all I could find was a Rossi and a Henry. The Henry was too heavy for caliber in my opinion. I got the Rossi but it's just OK in my book. I'd be all over that Browning.

Well...I was kinda looking for a 357 but the Browning is a 44. Just got home from Billings so will try to get a pic or two this evening

I feed a Miroku Winchester 1873 in 357 using Hodgdon's Cowboy Load Data. Felt kind of crazy spending the money the rifle at first, but I can reload for it cheaply and everyone that has fired it has had a smile on their face and asked to shoot it again. For reloads, I've been using HP-38 primarily as it is what I have the most of, and load either SWC or RNFP powder coated projectiles, both in 135gr. that I cast with MP Mold. The rifle feeds and fires both projectile shape without any issues.

Saw one of these in a local gunshop the week before I found my 1894 Marlin. I had a hard time walking away. Had second and third thoughts about it as I left. One COOL  rifle.

Yesterday, a buddy showed me his new Cimarron 1873 in 38/357. It's the short rifle having a 20" octagon barrel. The action is slipperier than deer guts on a doorknob; and it's as yet unfired. Very nice workmanship. It makes my Rossi look like the proverbial ugly stepsister. I'm interested to hear if it shoots as good as it looks.

my favorite lever guns since few were in .45 long colt are; 357 mag and 44 mag.

All .357 Mag RNFP ammo of any bullet weight and any charge works fine in my Browning B92. It was sometimes finicky with different .38 SPL loads so I only shoot .357 Mag.
