Thought I’d pull out my one and only Breitling, a mammoth 49mm
A25362/C618 Bentley. Of my several luxury watches, this one is physically the most impressive. Any other Breitling owners?

Former owner, 50+ years ago if that counts. It was a gift, don’t remember the model. However, I do remember that this particular model was not water proof nor resistant. I know that from empirical evidence………

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t get the Navitimer. Water resistant to 30 meters - not safe to swim or shower.

I bought a Breitling Shark dive watch in the late 1990s.
Great watch, I actually used it for diving and everyday wear.
Sold it for a profit in the early 2000s.

I'm a Rolex guy and have been collecting for over 30 years. I have some good vintage ones, but right now I'm wearing the blue Sky-Dweller. My weakness is the GMT-Master.

I'd love to own Breitling...my bucket list watch. The problem is the expense for one as for my purposes it doesn't do anything my Citizen, Seiko and Tissot watches can't do for far less.

The closest I ever came to actually buying one was when in St. Maarten and saw one I would have loved to own...but the $9k price was simply too much...even at discount St. Maarten prices. Jewelry and watches are much cheaper there. I know about jewelry there...my wife spent more on the entire airfare/cruise package on jewelry at one store...and even then it was huge discounts.

I also like Rolex, I have these two subs. I was checking out a used Batwoman a couple weeks ago. At $20K, I passed.

Breitling Bentley, British Racing Green with matching leather strap.

I love this watch.

I don't own it yet.

I have people hunting it down for me.

I want a full set, 'unworn'

If anyone here has a lead on one, I would appreciate that.

Help a guy out, please. :D

I have a real liking for that model.

Had one for about 3 hours.
Retell the tale - traded a Woodstove for a Black Powder Colt SAA.
Traded the Colt for a Breitling.
Traded the watch for a Walther PP and money.
Sold the Walther.
The stove, Colt, Breitling , Walther and money are all gone.
But I’m still here.
I’m a Rolex guy. Got a President.

I just missed out on the F-14 Tomcat farewell watch that was a group buy with Breitling. I was on deployment and got my order in a week after the order closed.

Despite being a little cranky about that, when I retired I wanted a nice watch for my wife and I. She went with a Breitling SuperOcean with an orange face and I went with an Omega Planet Ocean with a blue face.

They are the first luxury watches we've owned. We've both been pretty happy as well, but she gets more compliments than I do.

I’ve done many gun and watch deals like that. Entertainment at its finest.

Post #10, that watch looks like one a Packers fan would wear.
Edit to add: that's not meant to be an insult, just an observation. It looks like a nice watch.

I have a nice Breitling that spends most of its life in the gun safe in its original box. My practice wife bought it for me duty-free while we were vacationing in the Caribbean many years ago. It's gorgeous and I try not to blame the watch for the unfortunate connection to the purchaser.

I had it "cleaned" a couple years ago, and even though I knew it would be a fortune, I was unprepared for the cost of that maintenance. Since the cleaning it has been mostly put away lest it need another cleaning someday.

I wear a Samsung smartwatch now and it, obviously, does things the magnificent Breitling cannot. And it cost 10% of a cleaning.

I’ve done a fair amount of sequential multi stage trades.
Like starting with a busted Honda Civic, trading for Barter Units, then trading for 80 Blackpowder Rifles. The guns were being held hostage in a Virginia Warehouse. Paid the warehouse and shipping, anybody want a Front stuffer?
Turns out they did!
But that’s the only one that involved a watch and a Woodstove!

I've always admired them, but cannot even imagine trying to justify the cost in my mind. A few years back I bought an Apple watch, and since then my other watches have never seen the light of day. The convenience of having all of the functions, as well as water resistance, and being able to answer phone calls and texts right on the watch is incredible. I'm looking at getting the newest Apple watch, the Ultra II, which while not cheap at about $800 is nothing compared to the luxury watches like Breitling or Rolex.

That's a beaut, Clark!
I love Breitling's, but I don't have one yet.
But, in the vain of high end watches, you'll appreciate this story.
Coming in from Cigar Tuesdays from my buddies this week, I tripped in the pouring down rain crashing down on my Speedy Pro cracking the crystal. Of course it was "Speedy Tuesday" so I shrugged off the impulse to wear one of my cheap watches.
Already at the watchmaker for repairs; I only cracked the crystal with the "ever so slightest" abrasion to the bezel between 11-12 which can be easily sanded and buffed out. Unfortunately, the Hesalite crystal has to come from Switzerland though.
$250 and two weeks, not bad imo.
