Any Corvette collectors/restorers here? UPDATED WITH PICS

Hey..Saw this over on Yenko.net. I would say from what I can see and if it is a real fuel injected 58, anywhere from 35K -75K as it sits. Any documentation on the car ? Old dealership paperwork > Known history ? That would be a fun car to finish.

No history - its been sitting there for at least 15 years, maybe longer. My late brother-in-law bought it to restore but never did.

Oops! It's a fuelie. That's worth some bucks right there if it's original. Actually, most of the fuelies had the injection system ripped out and replaced with carburators as many people didn't like the "lumpy" idle. More original fuel injection systems are in landfills than in cars. A neighbor had a '57 Bel Aire and he did just that back in the '60s. As someone mentioned, the build sheet will tell and if it's gone, the VIN number should be able to be decoded to give the original paint codes and equipment fit.

Contact one of the previously mentioned resources to get an actual value for the car. Even un-restored, if it's a original fuelie, it's a valuable car.

Man, that's something, a fuel injected '58 lost in time. And it's in a nice garage, too, not sunk into the dirt with an old barn falling down around it. I've got no idea what it's worth but I'd love to have it in my garage. Even if you never rebuilt it all your buddies would still come by on weekends to stand around, drink beer, and stare at it wishing it was in their garages!

Amen to that! That could take residence up in my garage anytime!

Sorry, I lost track of this thread.

Is it still for sale? I have a serious buyer.
Thank you.
