Going to be getting a CZ 75 P-01 within a year and so just looking for CZ owners input and experience in their CZ.

I've had a P01 for a few years, and have to say it is my favorite handgun. Fits my hand like it was literally molded for me, and everyone who holds/shoots it seems to have the same opinion. Flawless performance through several thousand rounds.

Did I mention I like this gun? :)

CZ 75D Compact. Mine is excellent. Alloy frame, a very comfortable concealed carry. Reliable and accurate. A great 9mm.

If you like the CZ line, I suggest looking at the EAA Witness pistols. The quality is outstanding and theit models were more what I was looking for. Less money also.

Review what Mr. Jeff Cooper had to say of CZ pistols. I had a a 40P that just melted into my hand and was accurate beyond my ability. A CZ 75B 9mm will be my next purchase. There is a reason or two why a CZ is one of the most imitated/copied pistols in the world.

We have at least one, maybe two, CZ topics active now in this forum. Please read those. I can only repeat here what I said there.

Note that I posted in one of those and in the Lounge about CZ pistols on the Australian TV show, "Sea Patrol." Click my link there to see a CZ-85 held by the cute medic on HMAS Hammersley. Hers has the spur shape hammer. Note the safety on the right; it is a CZ-85, not a CZ-75. The lettering on her cap is legible, so not a flipped transparency. You don't see a lot of CZ's in films and on TV, and I think that's hurt the brand's popularity.

My CZ-75B has never jammed and is very accurate. It 's certainly on par with my Beretta M-92FS and that's saying something. The gun fits the hand very well. My son is also impressed with the CZ, and he has several of the more publicized 9mm's, too. I like the stainless one, but most have that duck-tailed tang that I hate. The epoxy (?) finish has held up well on mine, the basic CZ-75B.

The main issue with the basic CZ without a hammer-dropping safety is that you must be VERY careful in lowering a hammer on a live round...as with Colt, Browning, Star, etc. SA pistols. (You can carry cocked and locked, if not preferring a DA carry.)

I think the best way to sell you a CZ-75, P-01, etc. is for you to pick it up and see how it feels. Shoot it, and you'll probably be hooked. You have been warned! :D

Out of all my semi handguns, my CZ's are the best. Have a CZ 83, CZ 75BD Police and a CZ SP-01. The 75 BD Police is my favorite. Just accurate and feels amazing. For me S&W, Glocks, Sigs can all take a backseat when it comes to semi's.

My first handguns were CZs, a vz.52 and a vz.50. A buddy sold them to me to go with my CZ motorcycles. More recently, I have added a CZ75BD Police. I would like to fill the gap in my lineup with a CZ82, or if need be a CZ83.

The CZ75 is the best-shooting pistol I have ever shot, way more accurate than I am. There are some other semis I would like to have, but I don't feel there are any I need to have.

Cz 75b omega.
Cz 75 sp01.
Cz 75 full polish stainless.
Cz p09 x2
Cz p07.
Cz 97bd.
Cz 82 x2
Cz 52
I have a couple. I don't like the 52. Saw a new retro style75 today with hammer and sythe and red star. But I had to buy a pre m31.

My only experience with the CZ line to date is with their handguns. I started with one, a CZ-75 in 9mm, and now have four different CZ pistols - another CZ-75 in .40 S&W, a CZ-82 in 9mm Makarov, and a CZ-70 in .32 ACP. They are all extremely well made, rugged, dependable, and accurate. The workmanship is outstanding. Except for the CZ-70, they are interesting in that are finished in this ugly, but serviceable black paint - looks kind of like BBQ paint. These pistols are made for service. They may not win any beauty contest, but you'll love the way they perform.

I've enclosed photos of my CZ-70, and I'll try to add more photos later of my other CZ pistols.

Regards,

Dave

FANTASTIC handguns in ALL regards! I own 7 of them. They are the most ergonomic of all. Accurate, rugged, reliable, easy to operate, fun to shoot, what else do you need?

I bought a P-01 last fall and guess I have a slightly different take on it. While it is a nice pistol and I generally like it, it isn't one of my favorites. I don't care for the way it takes down and it gives me a bit of trigger bite. I also prefer the consistent trigger pull of my striker-fired M&Ps. There are some things about it though, that helps me understand how some people become fans of them.

I own a few different pistols, amongst them a CZ 75 pre B. It's my favorite.

Shoot a full-size CZ with the factory rubber grips on it. It's a sublime experience.

I like CZ handguns a lot, including some of their clones, specifically Tanfoglios. For semi-auto 9mm, I have pretty much stayed with just CZ's and sold off everything else. To me, they feel like 1911's, and I like 1911's a lot (in .45ACP). Very ergonomic and soft shooting, with lots of options for upgrades.

I have one of my CZ's, a CZ SP01, upgraded with Cajun Gun Works parts and it is wonderful! It is one of my best shooting semis.

CZ's have a problem of being so addicting. It starts off simple enough with a single pistol, then another, and another then a rifle. I personally love CZ's and own a SP-01, P-01, P-09, CZ82, and a Pre-B converted to SAO. I also own a Sphinx SDP compact clone and have owned another Pre-B.

They shoot great, extremely accurate, reasonable cost, great aftermarket support, and just fit so well. Upgrading sights and finding holsters can be a little more of a pain, but those options keep increasing as they become more popular. CGW and CZ Custom both offer many trigger upgrades as well as full blown worked over/custom guns. The other problem with that is once you shoot an upgraded model a stock just won't do.

In my experience CZ makes high quality firearms, have a 223 which is a tack driver, 221 fireball the same and owned a 9mm that I loved. Never had a bad trigger on a CZ and all of them very accurate.

Should be picking up my p01 next month. Now the iwb holster search starts. Looking for something similar to a soft-tuk any recommendations are welcome.

Went to a bigger gun store last nite and asked if they had any new CZ75's so I could look at one. None, said they sell too fast. Always liked the look of the 75's and hear only good about them. Getting a bug lately to buy one.
Had a CZ SxS 12 ga sidekick that was built very well. It was a quality piece that gave years of service. Now have a Drulov free pistol made by CZ. It's simple, well fit and accurate. The .22 rifles made by them the owners rave at how good they shoot. Great guns, Larry

My journey with CZ started with a Tanfoglio clone, a TZ-75. I always liked the trigger on it and while I found the decocker to be different since I came from cocked and locked 1911's, I have grown to like them. I recently picked up a SP01 Shadow from the CZ Custom shop. That is a splendid firearm. Best trigger of any of my bottom feeders. I saw a ad for one of the Turkish SAR clones in the sportsmansguide catalog a couple weeks back and decided to go ahead and try one. Surprisingly good considering the cost. I may eventually pick up a P07 as a mid-size alternative to my J-frames for carry. I just have not been able to get into any of the striker fired polymer handgun triggers.
