Any idea what this box was worth?

I would think more than $30 . I'm just guessing, but more like $75
to $100. On the other hand, have to wonder why no one was interested -
maybe it's only worth $30 after all ?

bravastar,
Just another illustration of why good photos, from several angles, ALWAYS produce excellent results.
It's pretty hard to 'hook' a qualified buyer if nobody can see what you're selling.
IMHO, Mike's correct...probably $ 100 would have been reasonable money.

From what I can tell, it was a Buy-it-Now auction and it was listed for 17 hours before it sold.If he would have had Red or Maroon in the description it would have much sold sooner.

I think Mike is right on target. I believe that $75 would be a good buy, and $100 would be a decent buy. If I needed it for a particular gun, I'd probably snipe it at a higher price.

I like this notation in the Seller's ad "I was hoping for $175.itsa buddies from a family estate." We can see that it is the same person who just bought it on Ebay for $30. Any comments on honesty?

I know what you mean, but let's let the dust settle and give the topbreak guys a chance to nail it before we take the rope to the tree.

Steven:
The classified was deleted, either by the moderator or the original poster. He was a one hit wonder. Although he did post it in the classifieds, it was several hours after he had reposted it on Ebay for a Buy it Now of $175. He had bought it then relisted it within 13 hours, despite the fact he lived in different states than the original seller. He used the original seller's pics for here and there. My belief is that the "buddy's family estate" story was a crock. I somewhat vented on him in the classified but shouldn't have. He said he was very active on some other forum. Lee was probably correct about giving the collectors a shot at the box.
