Any Ideas for a Flash Hider or Fake Suppressor?

One of the shrouds that comes back over the barrel is a much nice look. IMHO.

If you look in the 15-22 classified section Tacticool22 has these for sale. I got one from him and it looks great! Gives you the suppressed look but doesn't had any length to the barrel. It actually shortens it a little because you loose the length of the flash hider.

Anyone have any ideas on a flash hider or fake suppressor that would look cool on my M&P 15-22? I am looking for a price range lower then $50.

I was already looking at this: .22LR FAKE SUPPRESSOR (FAKE SILENCER)THREADED 1/2x28 TPI - FOR RIFLE and this: Yankee Hill Machine Flash Hider Phantom 5C2 Aggressive 1/2-28 Thread

Kineti-Tech is the only way to go..... in my humble opinion.

You can actually customize your own or purchase one listed, many styles to choose from

Take a look below..........

I'm also considering one of the shrouds from Tacticool for my non-threaded camo version. My main concern is how well the set screw actually keeps the shroud in place. Another concern is how badly does the set screw mar the finish? I don't plan to ever have it threaded so "the machining will eliminate the mark" doesn't fly for me.

Tacticool22 long barrel shroud. There are more pictures on the second to last page of the 15-22 pictures thread

I emailed Kinitech a question a while back in regards to a shroud for my Performance Center 15-22. Since the barrel is a little longer, I was trying to make sure they would still sit inside the rail. not even a response.

I installed the "corn cob" from MFI, and it is beautifully machined and finished. So nice I sent Michael Frost an email (CEO of MFI), although I had ordered thru rrages.com. It offers a very precise fit and mounts very securely. After ordering, I questioned if I should have spent that much money, considering everything else I've bought in the last couple months. (I started right after the election in November!) Anyway, I have no regrets, it really looks nice on the 15-22, especially after looking at the plain barrel and wishing I had the threaded one with flash hider.

Just my 2 cents (plus about another $120 ...) :)

Among other muzzle devices, I kinda like the looks of this one on my 15-22. It's called a slipover flash hider from DPMS. It doesn't lengthen the barrel much more than an ordinary flash hider but gives a bit of an illusion of an SBR. They are made of steel and a bit heavy at 8oz so I really don't use it much for more than a thread protector when a can isn't on it, but most of these fake cans are going to weight close to the same anyway. Midway sells them for $16.99

Very similar, if not identical to the one I put on my Colt AR shorty many yrs ago. Mine is threaded.
