Any Kahr pistol fans ?

Well, I dropped my wife off to do some shopping..There was an Academy Sports store nearby..So I thought I would wander the aisles...Of course, the Gun counter was my first destination..
There begging and screaming with a sale tag on it, was a Kahr CW9...Yeah I bought it $ 314.98 without tax...
I took it to my property for some outdoors shooting, nothing fancy this time as it was a chilly 32 degrees...I sat a empty vitamin bottle , approx. 4 inches tall near the berm...Back to the 20 yd line and fired freehand ..Bingo, dead hit, first shot..
I hit the bottle numerous times and it was pretty much shredded after 50 rds..All bullets impacted in a very close circle..
I am really impressed with the accuracy of this pistol right out of the box..The long trigger pull did not seem to have a effect on my shooting..It could be that I have other pistols with similar..The CW9 is striker fired, but feels similar to my KT PF9..

If you find one at the price I paid, go for it..A little info on the pistol..

You did well! I'm a Kahr fan as well. I carry my CM9 or CW380 more than anything else. I own a Shield and a LCR but the Kahrs are so much more comfortable to carry and conceal. I cannot shot as well as you but I have no problems shooting with practical defense accuracy.

I like the Kahr trigger. It's long but it's one, smooth trigger pull all the way through. I don't "ride the trigger reset" but I can see why people would struggle with a Kahr if they were used to shooting that way.

Well I own a KAHR AUTO-Ordnance Army ww2 1911a1. All I can say is Kahr has turned the AO company around. Plus there manufactured in Wooster,mass too. There 1911 is awesome. It's the closest ww2 clone as we can get price wise too.

PPC shooter and the trigger is very much
like a excellent double action revolver.

I hate to show my stupidity, BUT, I thought I was buying the smaller CM9, similar to my KT PF9...A box mix up and my not paying attention..I am like a kid in a candy store..I am blinded by all the goodies..
I am in no way sorry for the CW9, now to find a OWB Kydex paddle..

I bought a mk 9 & mk40 back in 2011. Nice quality handguns. Use the 9mm all the time. Can't speak for the polymer ones made by any manufacturer. Plastic just doesn't interest me.

Boy, can I relate to your assessment of polymer semi auto's..
It took me awhile to cozy up to my first Glock and the second one and the third one..They are soulless, ugly and efficient..
I have some looker pistols, mostly S&W revolvers, but they are too pretty to shoot..

I have a PM45 which I got in a trade. I don't believe it was fired. I have not fired it and probably won't. If it was steel, I'd be all over it, but plastic guns just don't do it for me. It feels absolutely great in my hand, and I'm a huge fan of most guns in 45acp, but this one will sit in my safe until something better comes along.

I would hold onto it as well. I bet the extra grip length is nice on the CW9 when it comes to shooting. I'm so lanky/skinny that longer grips print very easily for me. I went with the CM9 for that reason only.

One of these days I'm gonna hunt down a T9 but they're like trying to find a unicorn.

I bought my PM45 a few years back new...I really like it. Small, powerful, accurate, concealable, resale value...what else do you need????

I just did my first field strip..The slide needed a little extra coaxing to come off..
I was a bit dismayed the friction points of the polymer frame did not have metal inserts, only the one either side on the rear..This will most likely cause erosion of the frame rails..But hey it's not intended to be a range gun with thousands of rds shot..
I sure wish the pistol had a captured guide rod and spring...


Another positive observation..The feed ramp was very polished, smooth as glass, as it should be..No fluff and buff needed here..

The Kahr pistols have small rails in the front and two in the rear. I have a CM9 and CW45 love them both. I carry a M&P40c as my primary and pocket my CM9. Congratulations on the CW9

My wife and I both carry P9s. And I pocket carry a Kahr .380 as a backup.

I have the P9, PM9 and a P380. These are my regular carry guns and have been for several years.
I really like the triggers. Feels like a good revolver trigger to me, especially because it is steel with no lever or hinge like the competition.

Although I've never owned a Kahr pistol, several officers at work have them as off duty weapons and never have had a problem with them.

I differ somewhat on Kahr products. I bought a lightly used P40 several years ago. Don't know if it had the 200 round (?!) break-in period. It shot generic .40 S & W FMJ and 155 gr JHP fine, until it didn't . Factory magazines, cleaned and lubed...stopped feeding, even with the top round of a full magazine. Went to a J frame, which seems to feed every time .

I had a Kahr MK40

Very nice gun, well made, able to put 6 shots into one ragged hole at 7 yards.

However, it was not lefty friendly. My trigger finger would activate the magazine release during rapid fire.

Also, I think the MK9 makes more sense in a small pistol.

My CM40 goes with me everywhere.
It is my EDC and i love being able to stick it in
a front pocket with a small thin pocket holster.
It rotates as my EDC with my Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 spl

Own a CW9, a K40, and a CW45. All of them shoot well. Carry the CW9 and it is ideal for what I need. The CW45 shoots well but is a bit persnickity about lead bullets. CW series are traditionally rifled so lead is ok.

The CW45 is very accurate and a soft shooter, carry it in colder weather. The K40 I bought at a good price and it is a fine shooter, but heavier.
