My Grandfather was a gunsmith that owned some Minox optics(camera, scope, monocular). He passed away when I was 10 so I had no chance to talk to him, but my Dad speaks highly of Minox. I've priced solely online some but have not actually viewed any Minox optics and wondering if this German outfit has a reputation for upstanding quality glass. Minox optics are not popular in rural Mississippi. Any help out there? Looking at rifle scopes in particular.

Back in the day, every spy worth his per Diem had a Minox camera.

I've still got mine, with all the attachments.

Film is hard to come by, but there is a place called Blue Moon, (you'd have to search the address) that a person can still get film...Pricey, and having it developed is pricey..

Try this place, they might have want you want.

MINOX Shop

But dare to be different.

Minox started out in Latvia. After WWII it moved to Germany. I had one of the classic Minox mini-cameras once, but never used it. If you had one, I suspect finding film for it would be difficult. You hardly ever see 35mm film anywhere today, so Minox film is probably close to unobtainable, let alone finding someone to process and print it for you.

I had a few high quality 35mm cameras (Canon and Nikon) which I ended up selling for nearly nothing, as no one wants them today. The only profit I made on a camera recently was a very nice Rolleiflex 2.8F I sold a few years ago for $800. I never used it either. I had to give away or throw away all my darkroom equipment as there is essentially no market for it today, as there are very few who do their own darkroom work.

This is my Minox sub-miniature model B camera.

I still have all of the attachments, the flash, the look around corners attachment, the metal chain to measure distance from taking close ups of paper, The thing on the far left with the micro scope looking thing is for viewing a negative, and cutting the negative a person wants. This is the last cartridge of film I have for it..still in it's box. I don't want to take it out of the box to show, as the box is still sealed.

It still takes good photos, but it's pricey to use vs the newer small digital cameras
