I am looking to pick up a 9C for carry and would like to get the 2.0 if it may be coming out soon. I haven't heard anything about it at all, just curius if anyone else has?

5. The full sized pistols are nice but basically useless for concealed carry in hot environments, the full size grip prints like crazy.

My hope for the reason that they didn't release compacts right away is that they have a "mid size" in the works that's halfway between the fulls and the old compacts, something that holds about 15 rounds of 9mm or 12 rounds of .40 in the magazines, with a 4" barrel.

I might get one but I'd have to smooth the texture down some if I was going to carry it IWB.

I was thinking the same, mostly on the body side of the pistol unless you wear an undershirt.
The 9c really is the best of both worlds, it is only marginally larger than even the G43 or shield with almost double the capacity.

Anyone have any updates? I'm too wanting a 9c, but prefer to wait for the 2.0 to avoid purchasing the Apex additionally. I love my wife's 9c but it needs an Apex for sure. 9c is perfect size for conceal carry.

I recently picked the current version, immediately put the apex duty/carry kit with their polymer enhancement trigger. I love it, the trigger is smooth, crisp with min over travel and reset also lighter just 5 lb.

I am waiting for the compct 2.0 as well. I am looking for a muli-purpose gun and would like to stay with S&W as long as the new model is competitve. I would already have bought the Ruger American 9mm compact if it wasn'f so heavy! It has a great trigger and feels so nice in my hand. Needing $150 kit and the time to install on a gun that sels for $500 makes the value proposition of the current 9c a bit off for me.

I love my full size M&P 9mm C.O.R.E. and I cant wait till they release the 9c 2.0... I will be first in line.

Mind if I ask what type of mag extension setup your running? I have thge X-grip sleeve for the full size mag but your setup looks cleaner

Who cares about printing. If you like it, carry it.

With that said, I can tell you that there is no compact 2.0 in the works. I was told this by a more than reliable source.

I had the xgrip but like these better, thye are arredondo extended mag base pads +6/5 rounds (9/40), can be used on the compact o full size mag.

Have you shot a stock 9c yet? Mine didn't 'need' any Apex trigger parts. I did install an Apex carry trigger spring to make the pre-travel a little heavier as it is my carry gun. I then did the DIY polishing from here

I've often wondered why they didn't do that to begin with. I have a 45c that's just about the perfect size, and would seem to be just what you're looking for.

I've had a 9c for almost 2 months now and I love it as is. I couldn't say one bad thing about the trigger. Love my M&P 9c.

Prefer my M&P9 1.0 over the 2.0 but I would bet if they release a 2.0 C or Shield you'd most likely see them released at ShotShow 2018

They're coming. There is talk among reps (Davidson's, Midwest, etc.) that this fall or shot 2018 will feature the Bodyguard 2 and the 2nd Gen 9c and 40c.
