Any One into Ka-Bar Knifes?

Had one in-country, gave it away when I came home. Bought one several years ago and picked up the 5" model recently. There's new technology that's probably better, Randall is for sure. For what they cost, they'd better be. That said, my Ka-Bars have never let me down.

I have a couple of those in the hard sheath stamped "USN". One is always in my backpack.

Don, My SF Buddy carried a KaBar.
He wore a BAR ammo belt with shoulder harness.
The KaBar was carried upside down on the lefthand strap.
While in the field, he never removed the BAR belt and his M-16 was always within reach.

No history with this one. It's a model 02-1212 that I picked up at Cabela's a few years ago with my Cabela Points. It has 7" partially serrated clip-point blade. I wanted it just because I may run out of ammo when the zombies attack.

I've got a couple of Ka Bar knives, but I prefer the shorter Navy Deck knife, most commonly made by Pal

I can only assume you're referring to examples like this

If I may ask Sir, in your opinion, what would a knife in this condition be worth ?

Bought this new in 1979 - a model 1209. The handle is a black wood finish - the wood is in good shape but needs re-attaching

Here's one which shows the wood handle - not mine. The wood on this one appears a bit lighter.

We call that tape friction tape, try a sporting goods store in the hockey section.

Close but not quite like that one, the knives I like are the navy MKI knives, the ones made by Pal are stamped RH-35, One like yours stamped RH-50 is a Boy Scout knife, yours is pretty badly worn, not worth a lot. Still a handy knife, made from a good piece of steel.
