Has anyone here used this holster with a 442/642? I normally carry in pocket but occasionally would like to belt carry.

If anyone has a pic of a j-frame in this holster I would love to see it. The Galco web site only shows it with a 1911 in it.

Also interested in the Galco SB9 dress belt for use with this holster if anyone has used it and formed an opinion.

Never used one ut it looks really nice in the picture, kinda pricey for a mass produced holster. I've got one of these pancakes ($55 from JW O'rourke) that I've used for several years and I've been very happy with it.

A friend has one of these from Ray's Holsters ($35, made in S. Africa) and it's much nicer than I expected it to be.

Just think, with the money you save you can buy most of your gun belt!

I've used Galco concealables to carry a Kimber CDP, full size steel SA 1911, BHP, Beretta 84f, and a Beretta 96G. I don't know why it wouldn't work well with a much smaller and lighter gun, since even those relatively larger and heavier guns were fine in it.

+1 on O'Rourke's holster. I've got the same one and really enjoy it, along with his thick gun belt.

Glitch, you will love the Galco CON158 for your j-frames. I use one nearly every single day for my 642 or 60. They are perfect for j-frames.

No photo capability, but by way of description, the holster covers the entire trigger guard and to the rear "sight" groove. Just about the entire gun above the rear of the cylinder is above your belt. It will also fit closely to your body.

No need to buy a "gunbelt." Any quality dress belt works perfectly and enhances the CCW factor. I use Coach or Trafalgar belts almost exclusively.

Be safe.

That's it, glitch. 'cept that's v obviously a brand new holster. Gun fits much better once used.

Be safe.

I love mine and have several for both revolvers and pistols. I use the J frame one more for my 317 while doing chores or walking the property. It conceals well and they are the most comfortable holsters I own.
