Anybody ever use this?

I looked at that as well. The only concern I have with doing this is how it's going to turn out in the cylinder area. The tolerances are so tight that I'm afraid putting another layer of anything in there might seize it up. I guess I won't know til I try it!

I protected most of the wear surfaces on my P6 before I did it by carefully masking off areas that I didn't want any of the coating applied to.
I can imagine doing a revolver the same way.....use plugs inside the chambers and the center of the cylinder, mask off the internal lockwork area. Probably some old soft earplugs would work fine, just pull them out before you bake it.....
I have to say I was very very pleased, and in the areas I didn't protect I didn't have any trouble on reassembly...
the sideplate fit on a Smith revolver would need to be protected..but you could do that with blue tape and a razor knife to trim the edges...

I am gonna try it as soon as I get a revolver I want to refinish...

this is the after pic of my P6...can't find a before, but it was a "B" grade at best, or a high "C" grade when I got it. I didn't refinish the slide rails, so they look the way they did before I did the pistol....the white flecks on the image weren't on the gun...

Yep, thats pretty much the concern I had. Ear plugs are a great idea, I hadn't thought of that. That Sig looks NICE:cool:

Here is a Beretta Cougar I recently had Todd at Customized Creationz in MI refinish in Cerakote. As you can see, the product did an excellent job with my frame/slide modifications:

I went ahead and ordered the Wheeler Engineering stuff. I'll let ya'll know how it works out!

How well did the coating wear over time? It turned out beautiful!!

I don't know yet as I had this done only a week ago. From what I observed while reassembling the pistol, though, it appears to be fairly durable (no scratches or nicks while bumping it with punches and such). It's also very slick- cycling the slide prior to lubing it felt as if it was on roller bearings. Oil beads on it like water on a freshly-waxed car. So far, I'm impressed but how it holds up long-term is the real test.

Here's the technical report on the coating, for those interested: http://www.customizedcreationz.com/images/Cerakote_4_page_technical_report.pdf

Finally got around to refinishing my revolver. Just thought I'd share some before and after shots. Sorry for my lack of photography skills...
