Just got one and I must say this is one of the NEATEST toys I have ever gotten-It's gonna take me about a month to figure out everything I can do with it! WOW

Caje, you're never going to figure out all you can do with it because people keep writing new programs!

I've played with a buddy's - slick machine.

Did you know that Surefire (the flashlight people) made a shot timer for it?

Free from iTunes

I wish I did, because it must be the coolest phone out there, except for one small detail - it runs on AT&T, which has abysmal service here. I switched from AT&T/Cingular a few years ago to Verizon, and couldn't be happier with the connectivity/service.

(But I sure do covet that phone ...)

One of the really cool things you can do with it is get in a car wreck while playing the flight simulator or trying to figure out what else it's good for.

Using it right now to post. Best part is everyone I call and talk to for any length of time but one person is on AT&T (most also have iPhones so it's no coincidence) so all those calls are "free" and don't use minutes. Canceled two contracts to get it so it was a 700 dollar cell phone. It was worth it. Everyone seems to have one. Go out to dinner and the entire table has these phones. Never seen anything like it.

You mean you have to pay for cell phone service?

Plan? I'm unfamiliar with the term. The company won't spring for a new phone, much less an Iphone. I don't care, I only carry the one on my side because its required. Also furnished and paid for by them, not me. Even the concept of paying for a phone so someone else can bother you is a weird thing. If they want me 24 hours a day, they need to furnish it.

Yes, my sons have them and play with them constantly. I can't seen the tiny screen, so its a non-issue for me.

No offense, really, to each his or her own. But when I open my restaurant, it will be called "Bob's No Cell Phone, No Smoking, No Children Under 13 Good Eats".

I figure I'll be my only customer.

Oh yeah; I don't want you groovy older guys (I'm probably older than most of you) getting grief from your kids - it's iPhone, not I-Phone!

Just trying to do my civic duty and prevent the parental directed rolleyes.

In a years time you could save enough without the phone to buy that next S&W . . .

It's not frugal but I don't have a land-line and don't pay for cable tv either so it balances out a bit. If you just want a phone it's a waste, but if you want a highly mobile yet powerful computer permanently connected to the internet with gps capabilities then it's perfect. Even when there's no cellphone service I can read from a library of e-books from amazon.com, listen to music, play games, watch tv shows and movies, even have multiple translations of the bible on it.

I'd give up every other discretionary expense before giving up this computer. (cellphone is too narrow of a description)
