Like Flop Shank said it all depends. Handgun classes vary greatly in terms of what they teach. Some are all about the shooting, some teach stance, tactics, and some delve more deeply than others into legal issues.
I'm not sure what any particular advanced CPL class would entail, since many handgun classes are billed differently and can tend to be quite specialized.
If you find the trainer or school's name, you can google it to try to find what others have said, if anything, or more about the credentials of the instructor(s).
