Been a closet DW fan for a year or so. Thinking of picking up a brand new PM7. Any S&W owners also go to the DW side?

What are your thoughts for what you paid.

Well since you asked... I had a Guardian Deuce (complete with the cross on the slide) that like a fool, I traded for a Sig 220ST..I would love to have that one back somehow...
My current DW is a Patriot (pre CZ), forged stainless frame, slide and far more accurate than I'm capable of shooting...I'm always on the look out for the pre CZ pistols.

One of my in-laws picked up a DW revolver this past summer, and I got a chance to shoot it, and I found I was very accurate with it. Couldn't seem to find a model number on the gun anywhere, but it was chambered in .357 mag. Can't say I am a huge DW fan, but was impressed by the one I shot.

Without starting a pre-CZ vs post-CZ debate with anyone, what are the reasons you look for one? Nostalgia? Big diff in quality?

Should the lack of warranty, if there is one, be a concern?

I'd like to get a pre-CZ 5" 45 DW. Oh yes! But they're difficult to find, right?

I am a big fan of theirr new 1911 pistols. I own a CBOB .45, SSC .40 and a new Gaurdian 9mm. Fantastic fit, finish and accuracy from all of them. They are getting a little pricey but worth it to me.

I like them.

Pair of 10mm Razorbacks.

I have had a Model 12 since 1975 and a Model 15 since 1979. Enough said.

I have a older PM 7 Major. Probably the most accurate gun I own. This picture does not do it justice. I need to take a better one. It has my shooting Pacs on it here, I removed the nice wood grips.
The folks at DW are really very nice and helpful if you ever need anything. I had a roll pin fall out(of the rear sight) and could not find one locally , they sent me a few in a few days. My gun has the older revolver type rear sight(dovetailed the long way)

I bought a CBOB 2 years ago to supplement my clutch of 1911s.

It is the most trouble free and accurate 1911 I have....which includes a Gold Cup and a Custom Target.

If I had to trade all but one of them off, this would be the one that stays.

In about 4000 downrange, I've had 5 FTF, which were all resultant from my own reloading error out-of-spec cast lead ammo. Zero malfunction with factory FMJ.

I shot it side by side with buddy's High Dollar custom selling for 3x as much. We traded for a few targets to compare.

I am very happy with my CBOB.

I picked this V-44, 6" 44 Mag a couple of months ago for $369 (it had just come in on consignment). I use it as a bear attitude adjustment tool when camping remote areas in bear country. Haven't shot it a lot but lighting off a Buffalo Bore 305 grain slug (two hands ONLY), gives new meaning to the word "Cannon". With the Pachmar grips it is quite manageable when shooting lighter loads. The 200 grain 44 Mag Blazers ($35 for a box of 50 at Sportsman's Warehouse), aren't bad and I'm sure with 44 Specials it would be even more so. I am amazed at the inherent accuracy right from the first round. Hopefully I'll never fire it anywhere but the range...where it tends to draw a crowd. (o;

I absolutely love my CBob! It fits my hand perfectly. I never would have guessed that the Bobtail would improve the 1911 so much, but it shoots fantastic and carries just as well.

I bought a set of birdseye maple handles from Sarge at Home Page and I even bought a birdseye maple jewelry box for my daughter from him. Outstanding products!

My CBob is amazingly tight and accurate, but also functions perfectly.

Count me in!

Sold a Kimber Custom CDP to get this.

Ended up a straight across horse swap, with me getting the better end of the deal IMO.
