I don't know anything about that individual, but I think it's relevant to point out that as times get tougher, people, feeling financial pain, are more inclined to trickery and deceit to try and make $$$.

It's human nature to become accustomed to thinking that other people are like you. The psychological term is called "projection". We project our beliefs onto other people.

Being nearly the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, I would point out what I pointed out back then: what the terrorists did is upset our basic psychology by invalidating the basic concept that 'other people generally think the way that I do'. The (call them what you will) shattered our ability to reliably 'project' our belief system onto those around us.

It made things, previously predictable, scary and unpredictable in our minds. As also, apparently, this guy is doing to some on GB.

I bought a trigger for my model 10 from Magnum Mark. The part was decent and I got it for a fair price. My only complaint is it took an unreasonable amount of time to ship...

If you deal with this guy you are taking your chance's. I ordered a S&W barrel from him. He made me wait over 2-3 weeks before he shipped the barrel. He said 10 days for check to clear. He cashed it AS SOON AS HE GOT IT A FEW DAYS LATER! and it Cleared in Three days. After another two weeks of waiting he finally informed me that the package was returned for lost of address which became torn off in shipping. Get this though, the barrel was lost and he said it was on me to recover it being he had done his part. He charged me $6.00 shipping and sent it first class mail at a cost of $2.85 when he could of sent it for the $6.00 priority mail what he had charge me and the first hundred is insured and for the difference The boxes are free at the post office! it would have been $.50 cents difference to a $1.00. But here's the catch. He neither offers it to be insured or puts it in his ad if you do not ask then it is on you. He tells you this after the fact. I am out $156.00 and now have to chase this guy for it but says he will not reimburse me. Note he charge $6.00 but sent it uninsured. This is another way of ripping you off and pocking the difference. I have 104 A+ positive Buys & sells on Gun Broker, These are my feedbacks on the
web-site, Gun broker. I hope everyone who reads this will put this on every web-site they go to so other people will not suffer the way I did and be out of pocket!

I've Bought ......

3 or 4 barrels from him, always paid cash. Got my barrels, as advertised in about 3-4 days. His stuff has been good.

As with many, you only hear abut the bad and not the good. I have dealt with MagnumMark several times and have no complaints. Fair prices and quick shipping for my experiences. I once had a 66 (no dash) DAO and wanted to convert to SA/DA. Offered to take the old DAO hammer as trade and sell me a new one. Bought the NOS stainless (S) marked K hammer from him and had problems fitting it properly to my revolver. We conversed back and forth for a couple of weeks, check here, hone here, etc., etc. and offered to send me another if couldn't get the one I had to work. With his help, finally got it fitted. My opinion, he went far and beyond in just selling me a hammer.

A couple years ago Mark was the only source for a scarce S&W part I needed. I purchased from him and the part arrived as described. He isn't the quickest shipper but he states that up front in his auctions (he waits 10 days for MOs/checks to clear), so there were no surprises there. It was an A+ transaction all around.

on most of the Gun Broker ads & such type of other auction sites that I've read, either insurance is required to be purchased, or that the buyer must ask for it, as it is not included in the estimated shipping charges for the item listed. I've never seen any seller refund the cost of an item "lost" in the mail or even discuss it for that matter.

I too had a very bad transaction from MM. When I complained about the quality of a S&W part he thru a fit and fell in it. He called me every name in the drill field book. I got no help from Gunbroker, so wrote them both off. At best he is the lowest of human beings. IMHO, he has no sense of personal honor. He does a lot of business and as long as the transaction goes smoothly he seems to be OK, but let anything go wrong and it is your fault and he is never going to refund any money. I heard at one time GunBroker was about to terminate him, but he escaped to continue with them. If you can find the part anyplace else, buy it there first. ................ Big Cholla
