Interestingly yes, I've been on this "evil black gun" kick lately. I never had much of an interest in them until about 6 months ago. I bought one and then decided I needed to build one.
Same here. I've built 2 this year. Not sure how much I like them yet.
I built what is essentially an A2 HBAR in .223 Wylde. Topped with an old 3-9 Weaver, it probably weighs 9 lbs. Its fun to shoot when I can get out to the range (vs the indoor right up the street.)
The other is a .300 Blackout pistol. It's proving finicky with handloads, and $1-per for factory (if you can find it) isn't gonna cut it.
I got a bargain on a 7.5" Faxon barrel, but I'm wishing I'd gone longer, or built a carbine.
Watching "Peaky Blinders" got me interested in Webleys, but taking on a whole new platform and two new calibers in the same year sucked up all my bandwidth for tinkering.
