Anyone Else Like Lever Action Rifles Here!

I do not like lever action rifles. I had one and sold it quickly after buying it.

I only have a Marlin 336BL in .30-30.

I like the big loop and the 18.5" barrel. It shoots nice and with the Buffalo Bore 190 GR. JFN (Item 28A) I don't feel undergunned, even with large(r) predators.

Me too!

I only have a single lever-gun, a Marlin 336BL in 30-30. Stock except for a Happy Trigger and some smoothing to help prevent the notch they can develop. Shoots amazingly better than the sights. I shoot metallic silhouette (cowboy action silhouette - 200m range same as pistol met. silh.) and factory rounds out of the 16.25" barrel are same POA POI at 50, 100, 150, 200m.

I would like some peep sights. I had a go of someone's 45-70 with a 28? (long anyway) inch barrel and peeps, and it is pretty much cheating, so much easier.

This is sad - the lever action rifle is the heart and soul of the American Sportsman - and to to some degree the U.S.A. itself.
There is currently a Renaissance of the lever action rifle as evidenced by responses in not only this forum but many others and I for one am glad to see it!

Marlin 336 .35 rem
Marlin 39 .22
Marlin 1894 .44
Puma .357

Marlin .357 ported factory ported ( was offered to much to say no)

While I find that Winchester's are finished nicer, have nicer wood & bluing, I much prefer the actions and reliability of Marlins. I have both and while there is no substitute for a beautiful Winchester in your hands, I always used Marlins for CAS / SASS matches for sheer reliability and their side ejection.

As long as you stick with the Originals made in CT - neither one is a bad choice! :)

Uberti 1873 in 45 Colt (for SASS)
Marlin Cowboy in 38 spl (wife) (For SASS
1892 in 38-40

Savage 99 in 300 Sav

1895 in 30-40
1973 in 32-20
1886 in 45-90

94 Marlin in 44 mag

Only have one at the moment. A .454 Rossi 92, early Marlin 39A, and Savage 99 in .358 are on my "buy now" list though.

This is a plain-jane Marlin SBL I bead blasted.

I have a few:
Marlin 336 30-30 inherited from maternal grandfather
Winchester 94 30-30 inherited from paternal grandmother
Marlin 336 35Rem won at a WTU banquet
Marlin 336 30-30 my wife won at a WTU banquet
Marlin 1894cl 25-20 fun gun to shoot but expensive ammo
Henry 22

I really want a 44 mag to go with my 29-3 and 629.

My first rifle was a Winchester 1894 Deluxe Rifle in 30-30, given to me by my Uncle Frank when I became old enough to hunt deer in Michigan. Then my dad gave me his model 55 when he finally called it quits going into the woods. One later model 94 along with a Winchester 22.

My Grandfather gave me a Winchester 94, 30-30 for my 14th birthday. When I was about 24 my house was broken into and that was one of the things stolen. I learned how valuable an NRA Membership is when the insurance payed for my stolen guns. I took the NRA insurance money and bought a 94 saddle ring carbine. It was beautiful but grouped terrible. I traded it for a Marlin 357 and have had it since
