I found Solo 1K to be a favorite powder for loading medium velocity, low recoil 9mm rounds. As I recall,I got my initial recipes from competitive shooters who used the stuff. I've long since run out and it was unavailable for a few years but see it's now being produced again.
Just wondering if anyone else likes this powder like I do.

Fell out of favor with the action crowd due to lot to lot inconsistencies and here today gone tomorrow availability. Best powder in the world is worthless if you cant find it, or you have to rechrono every time you buy more.
Fixing to load a years worth of 9mm for CO this year. HAve plenty of Tightgroup on hand but wanted to try Sport Pistol,, supposedly is better with coated bullets as it burns cooler than TG. But same issue, Powder seems to be made of unubtanium.
Another new powder is 244. Basically a new cleaner powder. Seems to split burn rate between 231 and unique. Sounds like it might be a good all around pistol powder.

I also used it from a time for 12 gauge target loads. When I ran a company in Tennessee I was on a town committee with the president of the firm at that point and location and got it for free. I recently found an 8 pounder that I did not realize I still had from 1995.
