My wife really needs a CCW handgun and I think the Model 60, 649, or 640 might be a do-able

Just thinking this may be a backup plan using .32 H+R Mag.

Looks to me like it essentially is a 3 inch Model 60.

Any reviews and opinions appreciated...

I stock the hammered & hammerless versions in 32 H&R Mag,
Just wish I was closer than Arizona to you...I forgot, they
are both snubby's

one thing to consider is that the .327 round loses a lot of its velocity and performance capability when used in a 2" barrel than in a 3" barrel.

I have the 3 " SS comp 632. It is a sweetheart to shoot and quite accurate. With 32 Longs, it is a great gun for newbies to try. Trigger is nice.

It is easy to shoot with 32 Mags and the 327s. But those are loud.

If you want a light snubby - the 432 or 431s are also neat. However, these are expensive guns. You can get a 642 for much less and use a lower recoil SD round.

In general snubbies aren't the easiest gun to shoot. You need to practice or train with them. The 632 is more of a standard configuration and with its sights - easy to handle.

I am new to the S&W family - am looking to purchase the mdl 632 (hammered) - do you ship to Fla. ??

The Model 632 3" has become my favorite J frame. The versatility of the 327 Magnum chambering is obvious. My wife who is a new shooter enjoys firing 32 longs out of the 632. I'm amazed that this calibre didn't become more popular initially.

I know this is an old thread but I have both guns and have checked them side by side out of the same box of ammo. Shoot one lay it down record the readings and shoot the other. I have never seen as much difference as that chart shows.

Using Federal AE 100 gr. This is more than one session on different days averaged.

3" avg 1453, 2-1/8" avg 1376.

Any opinions on what a fair street price for a new 632 is? A LGS has one listed at $665.00 and I've been thinking about making an offer, but I'm not sure what a reasonable offer would be.

Thanks.

I paid $480 for mine but that was only because the dealer was blowing out his remaining stock. I saw one on an auction site bring $1000, so I think anything under $700 would be fair. If S&W does stop production that's when everyone will want one.
