Anyone have load data for 180gr LFN and HP- 38 for 40 SW.

The closest I can come is Lyman 49th has a 175 gr cast bullet using HP-38/w-231 of 4.3 to 5.8grs.

I called Hodgdon and they have no lead bullet data.

I was thinking of starting with 4.5 grs and hope it cycles my Sig.

Well, yes I do

4.5 grs of HP-38 with a 180gr LFP resulted in:

Temp 92 F, Humidity 90%, High Noon , no wind

Sig 229

Avg Vel 893 FPS
ES 6.06
SD 2.44
