Leaving the ATL for central Florida. Does anyone have a moving company they would recommend for the interstate move end of August? I've been burned in the past by movers not showing up on moving day. I am getting estimates but that doesn't mean they are reliable. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

We got a UPack Trailer, and hired a small local moving company with good reviews. The movers packed the trailer for us, then UPack drove the Trailer to our destination. We had another small local company meet the Trailer and unload it into a couple of Storage units we rented.

UPack was $3600, each moving company was about $1200. We got the Trailer delivered to our house Thursday night, they picked it up on Monday...took a week to get there.

Go online and do several reviews of movers you may use. Used a mover that thought was local as they advertised locally, turned out they were from Savannah, was moving from S.E. Ga. to Fl. Said they would be there in AM, waited half a day until they showed up.

Better Way Ministry Movers in Senoia, GA.
Have used them a few times (4).
Take great care of your stuff.

My last move was with 2 men and a truck. They ticked me off. After doing the walkthrough they approved packing and moving my reloading stuff (brass and lead but not ammo, primers, powder). On moving day, they refused to move the brass and lead.

After the truck was loaded, the manager arrived and said their estimate was off and wanted more money.

I have no idea if their dishonesty is corporate wide or just the local manager being a moron.

The guys actually doing the work were great.

Having gone through the major move from WY to AL in October of 2019 I can tell you that next time I will go through a Major Moving Company like Allied or Mayflower.
We thought we were saving money and went through a broker and in the end spent a lot of $$$, over $11,000 for the move. And we did the packing.
The end result was a lot of broken promises, more money spent at each step, lost boxes or totes and a two month wait to get our goods.
You get what you pay for.

Not sure if you've moved yet or not, but I can vouch for Three Men & A Truck being reliable. I've used them twice in the past couple years and haven't had any issues. They've been pretty affordable too in my experience, at least compared to other options.
