In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, it's this product. I've used it on my work boots for years and it's amazing stuff. I only recently started using it on the stocks for my EDC, but it seems to be doing an admirable job of protecting them from my body sweat in this warmer weather. The beeswax in Obenauf's gives them a warm sheen, and the oils really make the grain stand out.
The stocks in question are Herrett's "Detective" stocks in oiled walnut. They use Formby's to finish them when new, but it eventually wears away and requires re-application. When it was time to refinish mine after more than a year of daily carry, I wanted to apply something more "natural" than a wiping varnish.
