Trying to figure out what I am looking at with this older S&W revolver. I’m assuming it is 32 Long??? I can’t figure out how to load, not that I want to. Also how much do these go for?

I'll get things started with not much-----------------

I suspect it's chambered for .32 S&W (which may sometimes be called .32 Short).

As to how to load it, that's another thing about which I have more suspicion than knowledge; but I suspect you mash one way or another on the little appendage at the top rear-----and assuming you get it to move some, mash down on the front of the barrel (at the same time you've moved the little gizzie at the top rear).

Ralph Tremaine

And as far as value goes, I have no idea beyond not much.

Your gun is a .32 Safety Hammerless, 1st Model. It is chambered for the .32 S&W, which is not the same as .32 S&W Long. The left side of barrel should be stamped ".32 S&W CTG". If your gun is mechanically sound and works properly, it would be perfectly safe to fire. While not particularly cheap, .32 S&W can be easily located on many ammo web sites. You probably won't find it in your local gun shop.
