"Anyone like ivory grips?"

I always liked the way ivory stocks looked. I recently found these in Winchester Virginia. They are a perfect fit for my nickel 36 no dash.

Some amazing stuff on this thread.
Had a few minutes so I got out the camera. Had not taken a pic of the last 2 acquisitions so here is the whole group.
Left to right...M19-4, M27-2, M13-3(with their hides) and Cujo the cane.

I kind of chuckle when I see people say you can't carry ivory stocks. What do you think the elephants do?

For what it's worth, California ignores Federal Law or International Agreements, and has had a law on the books for years that says you may not sell anything Ivory. Period. No exemptions for age, value, or otherwise. The law was not really enforced until about 5 yrs. ago when the Powers That Be ( Liberal Tree Huggers Bureaucrats ) decided to instruct the State Fish & Game Wardens to attend antique shows, gun shows, etc. and confiscate and destroy any ivory items that had a For Sale sign on them, whether it was a gun with ivory grips, carved Chines Dragons from the Ming Dynasty, etc. There was no exemption for age, or otherwise. Antique dealers took a big hit until a loop hole was discovered, which was that you could posses or give away the ivory, you just couldn't sell it. Ivory stocked guns at gun shows, or auctions, soon had a tag on them that said " The Ivory grips were not for sale, however if you bought the gun, the seller would make you a free gift of the ivory grips. Ed.

I would really love to have ivory stocks put on my Colt New Frontier .44 Special and a large set of ivory target stocks for my Class A engraved Model 29-2. Could anyone steer me to quality, legit sources? I realize this will be spendy, but I aren't buying many guns any more and would like to enhance a couple of my favorites.
