Took a few pics back when this thread was active, in looking through my pics I thought some of these might be of interest to you all (not for sale interest...).
Anyway, here's some of my favs..... (click on the pics for a larger view)
The first is a Hamilton Cape Horn automatic (was given to a friend since this thread was active - and I really miss it.. )
Here's a neat Hamilton mechanical chrono (another fav aren't they all???)
A trio of other Hamiltons...
Here's an interesting pair..
The Rovac on the left has a sub second dial and is a mechanical winder, also has dials for day & date.
The Zodiac is a 24 hour watch is also a mechanical winder, prett cool
Here's a pair of pretty nice early Longines military style watches and are mechanical winders.
Here's a trio of military Bulova mechanical winders.... cool huh??
An early Omega bump wind auto (not sure of when it was made, but it's cool
And one of my all-time favs... this Omega is a bump wind auto, was given to someone retiring from the slaughter plant in 1949. Found this at a pawn shop in Renton, WA. Not sure if it began live here, but have found information that the area just south of Renton used to be called Slaughter, WA. Soooo, it might be from there, or migrated from another part of the US back after 1949

I haven't owned a mechanical (wind up) watch since I was a kid.
No high-end watches for me. I'm too hard on them, and don't go anywhere "dressy" enough to want to change watches.
To me a watch is a tool - not jewelry.
For decades I wore run of the mill Timex's.
For the last six months or so I haven't even been wearing a watch with a dial. I started wearing an inexpensive "smart" watch.
I like the way it pairs with my phone so I can see incoming texts, calls, alarms, appointments, etc. without having to pull out my phone.
It even has a snap-on screen protector so the face doesn't get scratched and scarred up.
No high-end watches for me. I'm too hard on them, and don't go anywhere "dressy" enough to want to change watches.

PS: Oh, something else. I went looking for my pocket watch and I'm afraid that it is in the pawn shop due to some problems with a very close relative.
I'm shopping for a replacement.
PPS: I still have my Grandfather's watch, see attached.
The teeth marks are from my aunt when she was small. My Mom was always peed off about it.

Reading through this thread you guys have some amazing watches. I feel like my little pile of thrift shopped watches just can't compare, but I am having a lot fun with them because man, watches are just too good.

I have five nice but non-prestige mechanical watches slumbering in a dresser drawer. But the only watch I wear regularly is a Victorinox Swiss Army Quartz which is about 25 years old. It never needed any work beyond battery changes and is scary precise when it comes to timekeeping. I do on some occasions wear an Invicta Pro Diver if I need to dress up. From more than 18” away, most would mistake the Invicta for a Rolex Submariner. And it is also a very good timekeeper.

My Dad gave me a new Helbros watch when he dropped me off at the Federal Building to report for basic training. First watch I ever owned.
I wore it for years until it stopped working, Reckon I tossed it when it didn't run.
Just another stupid thing I did in my youth.

I still have the cell phone because I need it for my diabetes sensors, but I got a couple of vests and wore them and my pocket watch to church over Christmas. And I left the cell phone in the car.
