I'm looking for some input on a good muzzle break that will keep the barrel from climbing. There are a few out there but before I go and spend the money I would like to hear from some owners who have changed out their stock flash suppressor. Pictures would be great.

Just received the Ares Armor EFFIN-A. Will be putting it on this weekend and will post a range report.

I've ordered this, just haven't put it on yet and after reading a few comments around different forums, I'm not sure if I will now.

I've never shot next to someone at the range with one (a brake) on but from what I read it tends to piss people off that are next to you. Both with sound and gas being blown back at them.

So I might swap it out on a less busy day and see what really happens.

Since my "Grizzly" Defcon1 Muzzle Brake did in fact reduce recoil on my Savage Arms Model 10FCP-SR in .308 ---> to that of a 2 year old pushing on the end of the rifle at me, I just bought Grizzly's New for 2013 "The Hunter" muzzle brake. Check out how "Mean n' Nasty" it looks.

Ain't cheap though... $199.00 (+shipping etc.) --- but you get what you pay for (and then some) with Grizzly....like NO MUZZLE RISE, NO DUST SIGNATURE and recoil is truly reduced by more than 60% (almost like shooting a 22lr w/ a push to it)

Tuesday when my new M&P AR10 arrives, it's gettin' mounted. Count on it.

Just received and screwed on the JP Standard-Profile Compensator. Still waiting for my free float handguard and LP gas block to arrive, so it's not torqued on / timed in yet, but definitely gives the rifle a different look, shortens it by about an inch. Gonna try getting to a range this coming week and will let you know my impressions..

I have a brake that does not angrify the people next to you and it does not break the bank.
Plus I have stainless crush washers to go with the stainless brake.

Any Updates On Those Added Muzzle Breaks To Their Rifles? I'm Interested In Getting A Break. I Want To Reduce The Overall Length Of The Barrel.

I had an A2 on and didn't like how much climb I got. Although, I think the A2 will make the barrel the shortest. The best muzzle breaks for our gun is the Battlecomp 2.0 or the Surefire 762. They will get you the greatest result while still making the barrel a little shorter.

I use one by Tacticool. I originally put it on my 15-22(not really necessary but looks cool) but then put it on my Sport. It works fine for me and the way it's ported, most of the adverse effects that BRAKES can produce are reduced.
