Anyone receive their "free" M&P 40 mags recently?

I bought my M&P .40 back in early April. The $50 rebate check came quickly, but alas, no free magazines. I'm wondering if anyone has received the .40 cal magazines as of late.

Still waiting on 9mm mags from purchase in early April as well. Recieved rebate check about 2 wks ago. Called S&W about 3 wks ago and was told mags were on back order and no date given as to when could expect them. zorro49

Spoke too soon! Recieved mags today! There are as others have stated a dull satin finish to them rather than the original shiny mags that came with the gun. Hope you get yours today as well. zorro49

Sorry to bring up an old thread but

I purchase a M&P 40 cal on
Dec. 30, 2008 and haven't
reveived my $50.00 rebate.
The magazines were an option
instead of the $50.00.
Is that correct or was it for both?

Late 2007- early 2008 offer was for both -Magazines and $50.

Oct-Dec 2008 offfer was either/or.

I took the mag's, not here yet. Someone reminded me in another thread, of the plant shut down over the holidays.

I bought a compact .45 M&P in mid-November and received my two magazines this past weekend.

I bought a M&P 9L on Dec 20th and mailed the rebate form on the 22nd. Guess I have a few more weeks to wait.. Plan on taking it out to the range this coming weekend.

According to the people administering the rebate, you may still have quite awhile to wait.

I called them last weekend to see if they had received my rebate, which I had mailed the first week in Jan. They informed me that they were just opening the mail from mid-December and to allow a couple of weeks for them just to get to my letter.

They then said that from the time they open my letter, it would be 6-8 weeks.

Maybe they were pulling my leg, but I am hunkering down for a long wait.

Nah, I bet corporate just don't want to spend the money at the end of the month for magazines that they are going to have to give away until the beginning of the next month...so it looks better to investors.

I pulled that answer out of my posterior.

I bought the .45 in Mid-December------with the either/or deal I figured the mags were a better value.....but I am still waiting, too.

Probably a dumb question, that's been anwered here a dozen times, but...
Does S&W make their own magazines, or do they have a sub-contractor?
