I have been considering adding to my stable of guns, most specifically an air weight J for pocket carry in the hot Arizona summers. While I much prefer old school blue guns, decent affordable air weight J’s are hard to come by, at least in my area.
I can’t remember the last time I saw one for sale honestly.
I see all the horror stories of current S&W quality control, but also know lots of people get good quality guns without issues that are not talked about nearly as much.
Anyway my local dealer had a sign Indicating they participate in the guardian program which I am eligible for, and the 442 no lock is listed as a purchase option. Does anyone happen to know what % discount the program provides on this item?
Looks like current msrp even if the discount is only say 10%, makes a brand new no lock 442 cheaper than any of the older decent used guns I have seen on line ( again haven’t seen a used air weight J locally in a long time) and I worry about buying an airweight without inspection due to the frame cracking issue
