Three years ago, the wife and I switched from Verizon to Sprint and we've been happy until recently. Not going to bore you with the details, so I'll just say that over the last seven months Sprint started to live up to all the horror stories I've read about.

After dealing with India for an hour yesterday I've had enough, and started to look for a better deal. Total Wireless was the one that interested us the most as it uses Verizon's network which we've found to be much better than Sprint's.

Looking for reviews on TW, I couldn't find near the complaints that other carriers have, but then again I couldn't find near the reviews either. About the biggest complaint I've read about is people couldn't use their current phone even though TW said that they could. Not an issue for me as we'd buy new TW phones anyway.

So who has TW and can give the good/bad? Thanks.

I had sprint, then changed to Consumer Cellular. Coverage was average with both. CS customer service was good. Went to Verizon and am paying less than with CS. Made phone calls home from deer hunting camp.

I haven't checked back with Verizon since I went to Sprint but might have to check again for a good laugh. The reason we switched was to get as cheap a cost as possible. Paid $63 with Sprint for two lines with unlimited text/calling and 4gb of data and never even used 1gb in any month. We called Sprint to see about the Veterans discount and they told us that we'd need to move to the 15gb plan to get it so we said no thanks. Next thing we know they arbitrarily switched us anyway and our bill went to $115. The kicker was that they didn't even add the Veteran's discount which would have only dropped it to around $100. Crooks, the lot of them!

The wife and I have had TW for about a year now. We've got the two line $60 plan on their auto-pay setup. We bought phones from them when we left verizon. We have been completely satisfied.

When deciding to change to them I used their online chat feature. Very helpful. Helped me figure out how to transfer number from verizon an answered all my questions.

For over 15 years, my wife and I have used Virgin Mobile. Probably the cheapest service available and never any problems. Up front, we don't live on our cell phones as some do, and text little. Worth checking out .
