This came from the factory this way and I'm curious if the "flash points" have any adverse effects on accuracy?

If you look at the inside of the muzzle end, you'll notice the very rough inside edges. It looks like it was separated from the molding at this point. Hope that makes sense. All my other barrels on various guns are smooth and just plain look better. It has the look of a piece that's been separated from a model airplane kit. It looks worse in person lol.

Thanks for the link.

It looked as though he was more talking about the gray/silver deposits on the tip of the barrel. That picture does have the same thing going on at the 6 o'clock on his barrel too. I noticed mine before I even shot it though. Unless that from the one test fire they do......

I have cleaned my gun several times and it is not deposits. It is scratches, which right now I am not too concerned with. I just keep on shooting it. Time will tell if there is an issue. Right now a buddy has borrowed mine to see if he wants to purchase one.

I had the same machining marks in an M&P45c barrel, it's from the cutter skipping during manufacture. I called the factory and they sent me a new barrel.

That's exactly what I'm seeing! It looks like it wasn't cut clean from the steel or something. I even saw it on the link to another thread above. Right at the 6 o'clock position there is jagged edges. Definitely wouldn't describe it as scratching or lead.

How's it shoot?

Just like all my other pistols. Just think quality control might have been asleep for a bit. Going to give them a call shortly.
