Just completed on my 40C. I watched the videos twice,(kinda scary), but once I got into it, and saw how everything worked, it was easy. HOWEVER!, the aluminum slave pin they give you for the trigger spring install, IS NOT TOO SHORT! It is designed to accomidate the thickness of the slide release bars. (put that on first, then the slave pin). Go ahead, you can do it!

If my parts come this week I am planning to do this Sunday. Thanks for the tip, and how long did it take to complete? What do you think of the trigger feel now, worth the time and money?
Thanks in advance

I did mine last weekend, first time doing anything with the gun other than cleaning it (its my first gun). I did everything except the trigger spring. I cannot carry in Illinois so I wanted to try it with everything else other than the spring at the range. So as far as everything else it was a snap and took maybe 10-15 minutes at most. I'm heading to the range this weekend to see if I like it and decide then if I will put the trigger spring in or not.

The trigger spring is the hardest part. It would have taken about 30-45-mins, if I hadn't lost the slave pin and had to make my own (EXACT length is crucial). Much easier with a sight pusher tool. You have to remove the rear sight to replace the striker block.

I have the sear block that uses the smaller spring and had trouble seating the plunger on the spring. The sear lock lever would not work. Apex is suppose to send me a new spring and I would like to upgrade to the newer sear block with the larger spring but of course S & W will not sell it to individuals and Midway is on backorder.

I have a few M&P's with the DCAEK. Actually it would be better to say that I don't own any M&P's without a DCAEK. I agree that it does take a little time and patience the first time around, but it's all worth it in the end. Glad you got yours in Dueeast! I don't even need to ask if your loving it, cause I know you do.

Just pull the forward and rear blocks at the same time.
Replace parts from the kit per videos. Trigger spring is easy in this configuration as there is no tension. Place rear block onto trigger bar and reinstall both blocks together.
