So I got done installing an Apex DCAEK kit in my CORE 9 FS. Replaced all the springs with the new ones that came with the kit. Measured trigger pull and I am showing ~6.5lbs on my Lyman digital. This is a good pound over the expected of 5 - 5.5 lbs. Did I mess something up or have others experienced the same. I put the stock trigger return spring in and I am at 5lbs. 2oz. This is much closer to what I was expecting of the kit spring but I have no problem using the stock spring. Just want to make sure I didn't mess something up on my install.

As a side note, the gun has not been fired yet so it may loosen up after things get wore in a little. Just looking for some insight.
Thanks.

Once you fire it, that 6.5 will come down for sure.

Leave the stock return spring in, that's what I did on my CORE and it seems to me that I saw something about that on one of Apex's videos (but can't remember exactly where)

Yeah, I know the springs can be mixed and matched for the "perfect fit" for the shooter. I was just expecting the DCAEK kit would give the 5-5.5lbs with all the included springs and with the stock spring about 4.5lbs.

You really don't know what you have until it settles in. Mine dropped about a #
