Apex RAM + AEK Trigger??

So, I understand the gritty trigger, but for me the lack of tactile feel/positive feel of reset bothers me more. I have no idea where the reset is on my 40c. (I am spoiled by my Sig 226 SRT trigger and Les Bear 1911 trigger)

Looking at the Apex options and reading the descriptions, is the Apex RAM sufficient, or do you combine it with the AEK Trigger or do you use one or the other but not both?

I am looking for the option that gives me the best reset with the smallest pre-travel and over-travel.

here's my D/CAEK with the AEK aluminum trigger. no RAM needed, just bent the trigger bar a little to improve reset.
