I just purchased an Apex Flat Faced Forward set trigger kit for my M&P9 M2.0
I have gotten to the point where I am installing the trigger assy and it is binding up. I did have a significant hard time installing the Apex trigger on the trigger bar, I really had to beat on it to get the pin to move but the trigger is on the bar and moves freely, when I insert it into the sear block and install the trigger pin the trigger binds. I have disassembled this a half a dozen times, watched the youtube video back and forth but cannot seem to get it right.
Please help.

Also check to make sure the trigger return spring is hooked on correctly. I know this is a 1.0 trigger bar but note the red line on the return spring.

General advice: never start a project for which you may need customer support on a Friday afternoon. Apex can be right there for you on the phone or by message during regular business hours. Sunday-Thursday is OK since the next day CS would be available. Waiting through a weekend or holiday for CS is really frustrating.

I hope those who have replied helped you, but none of us equal the experience and knowledge of the Apex CS folks.

Raisin Beats me , I'm not a fan or flat faced triggers .

Flat triggers allow you to place your index pad a little lower on the trigger and get more leverage. Or higher if you wish and reduce "travel". So you can be a little off on finger placement and still get the shot off.

For me, I try to grip as high up as I can. Sadly, this puts my pudgy index finger a little high on the OEM trigger and sometimes the trigger safety catches a bit. This is the source of my dislike for the hinged trigger.

Naturally, like many other things, flat vs curved is more a matter of preference.

What is the advantage of the flat faced trigger?

The factory hinged trigger is terrible. The Apex trigger is amazing it changes the whole trigger mechanism. It is so much fun to shoot.

I like my new APEX flat-faced trigger on my M&P9 M2.0 but feel that I need to point out something about trigger pull.

I set my trigger up for a 5lb pull (APEX Sear Spring and Factory Return Spring), however after reassembling and testing with my Lyman, I get a 10-average of just 2.0lb pull.

On my own private range, I have no problem with this, however, I will probably swap out my factory return spring for one of the heavier APEX springs.

As far as "feel"... I actually feel better knowing when and if the locking mechanism kicks in. The "hinged" OEM trigger didn't give me any feedback.

Easily fixed (or avoided) by knowing which springs to use for what trigger pull weight. Apex and this forum has such info.

I guess I forgot to mention that I actually printed the APEX fact sheet and followed the listed example for the 5.00lb pull weight when I ended up with 2.00lb avg.

I did get the trigger "over-travel" reduced and that the trigger pull felt fine, but just too low for me to feel comfortable for defensive carry.
