I posted a "for sale" thread for a S&W Outdoorsman about a week ago. That thread is now closed, so I wanted to post a quick apology for not getting back to the responders.
My computer crashed (laptop failed due to it getting too hot and the solder points failing - that's what the IT guy where I work said. Consequently, I've been out of commission.
The owner of the S&W Outdoorsman did a turn-about on me and refused to sell the gun for the posted price. When I let him know there were a couple of people interested he told me that that meant the gun was posted too low and he wanted to have buyers bid on the gun. I told him this forum isn't an auction site, and he had agreed to the for-sale price before I posted the thread, but he said he didn't care and wanted to jack the price up. I told him that he could find someone else to help him with selling his gun, and will not assist him again.
I apologize for this situation to everyone who replied to the thread. While the owner's attitude and my computer's demise were outside of my control, I take responsibility for the total failure in what I had hoped would be a smooth, easy arrangement.
Moderators: If you feel I am deserving of some penalty such as a temporary or permanent ban from the for-sale portion of this site, I will comply with whatever consequences you deem appropriate.
Thank you, and again, sorry.
