Happy Patriots Day!!!On 19 April 1775 attempts at gun control ended up in shots fired at Lexington Green and the American Revolution began.
There are a few other interestin facts:
1]1933 US went off the Gold Standard
2]1943-The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising began where Jews fought together for the first time in 2000 years and because of their bravery and a few stolen guns they held off a couple of Battalions of SS for 6 weeks.
3]1993-The Branch Davidian Church complex was destroyed by the FBI Assault with the killing of over 80 men women and children.
4]The OKC bombing took place with the deaths of many inocents.This was passed off as the work of two "home grown"terrorist.There is much evidence that this is not the case and there may have been a Mid-East connection,how Clinton and Reno closed the case.

There is a connection. The theory has been severely suppresed, for what ever reason. It's been said that perhaps the trial, conviction and execution of McVay was so rapid to ensure he did not live a long time to tell his full story in regards to this possible connection.

I'm not saying I agree with the information about this possible connection or not but it is there. Most people don't even realize that much.

Bullman, if you watched the news coverage at the time of the incident you would have seen several reports of some mid-east involvement. Don't know if they ever found any real connection but at the time they thought there was.

April 19 is also my wedding anniversary. Not as loud as Oklahoma City, or as hot as Waco but the results are much better.

It's our wedding anniversary, too!

I took him to Walmart to check on primers, and we munched on a rotisserie chicken and a jug of juice outside on a bench, then we spent the day at the hardware stores...where we were buying drywall, mud and tape. (UG...whose job do you suppose THAT is?!)

While we were ordering paint, the lady at the counter commented that "remodeling has been known to cause divorce!" Hubby and I cracked up!
He said, "Today's our anniversary and this is our second total remodel!"
I asked him, "aren't you supposed to be making me something...like out of tin foil or duct tape or beer cans or something?"

He disintegrated into giggles and when he could speak, said, "I AM....Sheetrock!"

Twelve years married, four years before that dating, and He says he's still gonna keep me! Bless his heart, he's still buying me guns and reloads for me!! He's a keeper!
