According to the news, there are over 1 million Magpul pMags on backorder. I know 10 of them are for me. Brownell's is no longer taking backorders even for the black ones.

All I can say is holy cow!

Just checked, they're going for $300/5 on gunbroker with $15 shipping. ($63 each WOW)!

Mag-Pul has upped production, hoping to reach 200K P-Mags produced per MONTH.

That gives us FIVE months until the 1,000,000 backlog is filled. Thats a best case scenario.

Those Dealers gouging, selling over retail...notify Mag-Pul and they will no longer sell to them. They have a strict nothing above Retail price policy.

I'd love to see the gougers get screwed over the screwing they are giving the public. At least those stupid enought to buy a $15 magazine for 3 to 4 times what it is at retail.

Isn't that crazy? Last month I went to a local gunshow on the weekend after the school shooting. A dealer had pallets of all kinds of P mags for $12.95 each, or 5 for $50.00. I bought three, I should have bought a pallet.

The thing is now, you can hardly find ammunition to fill your mags.

I think I saw a deal on ammo on slickguns.com . Google that and see what they have. I don't think you can get it for 30¢ a round anymore.

What amazes me is that believe it or not there are actually other AR 15 Mags that fit and even work.:D;)

I have some made out of that metal stuff.

I saw some 10 packs of Thermold mags for $69, but they are now backordered. I like the pmags because of the cap you can snap into place that pushes the top round down away from the feed lips. It saves the feedlips from stress.

Just the other day I bought some 30 round 'D & H' magazines on Gunbroker for a reasonable price, $24. Not that I really needed them, some looking just lead me to bid.

I like them also but,
The new version of P Mag no longer has that neat cap.:( I bought one and it didn't have it so I called them. They say they no longer will have them.

Blasphemy, heretic!!!! ;) :)

What is this metal you speak of?

I feel left out I dont have any P mags :(

Bummer! I have 10 pmags now including 5 I just got a couple of months ago from CDNN and they all have the caps.

OK, I just called them and they told me they dropped the price and made the cover "optional." If you go to their website and click on "pmag accessories" you can buy the covers for $3.95 for a 3 pack. Of course right now you cannot order direct. We should be OK unless Obummer bans the covers. Might have to wait six months though.

I went to Brownell's and the picture does not show the covers so I know what I'll be getting. (or not getting).

Have you tried the Ranger floorplates? Looks like it might be a good add on.

The Magpul pmag is a very rugged magazine. I don't know of anyone taking backorders for them, but if you got to Brownells site and read the reviews...

I'd always used always old-school USGI mags, just recently bought a few Pmags and now I wish I had started earlier and bought more.

I just got an email from Brownell's about my order. They are saying the order will not be cancelled. Fine with me, I will wait 4 months if necessary. I did a quick Google search and found a lot of hits on pmag sales, but they are all a year or two old.

It blows my mind that people are paying $315 for 5 Pmags. Still, if they are banned (and grandfathered) what will they be worth then?
